Arely Guevara is the talented seamstress who brings each Tandem bag to life. She came to sewing only a few years ago, discovering a talent she never knew she had. Growing up, she watched her maternal grandmother at her sewing machine, never imagining she would one day find the same talent in herself. 

Working with Arely has become an integral part of building Tandem. Together, we pair our ideas with her incredible craftsmanship to create each bag one at a time, with intention, attention to detail and a tremendous amount of care. 

From the beginning, it was important to us that Tandem be made locally, thoughtfully, and by someone whose craft is an integral part of our story. It’s a true collaboration and one we feel lucky to have found with Arely.
